A Church abandoned by its bishop and pastor.
St. Bartholomew Church is set to celebrate its last Mass on December 24th, 2009. The first Mass was said in the
church on December 25th, 1879. The parish council had voted to appeal the decision to close St. Bartholomew's to the
Bishop, an appeal that has been abandoned as the diocese assured our parish that they would not entertain an appeal.
